President of the Board of Directors, Ricky is the headmaster of the Boys Academy at Jefferson High School in Portland, OR.
Tim Riley, MBA, EA
Treasurer of the Board of Directors, Tim is an accountant in Redding, CA and has been involved with EnCompass since 1999.

Board Member, Fardad is an engineering manager with Intel Corporation, where he has worked for over 23 years.

Co–Founder of EnCompass and co–creator of Natural Learning Rhythms, Ba has published five books, taught hundreds of parents and children and lead countless programs for families since 1985.

Albee Kara, BA
A key staff member, Albee has worked at EnCompass for 12 years as a program co–designer and facilitator, leading groups of families, children, and professionals through experiential learning programming.
Amber Kara, BS
During her 17 years with EnCompass, Amber has taught Natural Learning Rhythms to hundreds of parents, lead dozens of school groups in ropes course experiences, brought children from the inner–city to the outdoors and planned and executed EnCompass’ programs for families, teachers and children alike.

- 1985 — EnCompass was founded by Ba and Josette Luvmour.
- 1997 — EnCompass opened its first center in Northern California on 120 acres of land with a school, conference and retreat center and outdoor education ropes course.
- 2003 — EnCompass relocates to Portland Oregon, bringing its four key staff along.
- 2008 — EnCompass becomes the EnCompass Institute with a vision for the future of opening the first private school in Oregon based on the Natural Learning Rhythms approach to human development.
- 2010 — Planned opening date for the EnCompass Institute in Portland Oregon, with its integrated Lab School, Family and Professional Development Center and Research Core.
