Vision: A community of families and professionals strengthened through sustainable family relationships and the experience of education providing the highest potential for self–actualization in all children.
Our Vision for the Future:
The Future Of the EnCompass Institute
In the fall of 2010, the EnCompass Institute will open its doors as the first private school in Portland Oregon based on the Natural Learning Rhythms approach to human development. With a Lab School, Family and Professional Development Center and Research Core, the EnCompass Institute integrates child development, family dynamics, teacher training, adult development, whole family experiential learning, and parent–teacher communication.
The Lab school will open with a maximum of 76 students, grades K–6 (ages 4–12) with a 9:1 student teacher ratio. The Family and Professional Development Center will open along with the school and will offer parents the mandatory opportunity for adult development, thus creating a consistent environment for the child between home and school. The Research Core will open in 2013 to provide a formal research framework for the continuous analysis, evaluation and improvement of our Natural Learning Rhythms pedagogy. We will be a community of families and professionals strengthened through sustainable family relationships and the experience of education providing the highest potential for self–actualization in all children.
